ILLUSION is a beautiful love story, one replete with redemptive themes, and poignant moments. The story of Dane and Mandy with its complex interweaving of timelines is quite simply: brilliant. Admittedly, the middle of the story sagged some, and I nearly stopped reading, but I am SO GLAD I didn't. At one point, I found myself vowing bodily harm to Peretti if he did not end the story as I thought it should end--and alas, this master author gets to stay alive as the ending was absolutely beautiful!!
