NEARING HOME (Life, Faith, and Finishing Well) by BILLY GRAHAM

Did you know Billy Graham wanted to be a baseball player when he was a child? He wanted to fill stadiums as he crossed home plate. I believe he has filled stadiums in a whole different way. A way more meaningful and more lasting than any home run could ever be.

This book was so much more than I even dreamed it to be. I loved it. Billy Graham has penned a book dealing with growing older. Not just growing older, but what to do with your time as you age. When you cross over that middle age line, your life isn't over. In fact, in many ways it's just beginning. Billy Graham teaches us to look for all Christ has for us every day.

Until we cross that finish line into heaven we are still in it to win it, my friends. There is nothing beyond our grasp, especially when Christ isn't finished with us yet. I love the stories Billy Graham shares. He shares not only stories from his life, but from God's Word. Scripture comes to life in these pages as we witness the life of a man willing to be a vessel for the Lord in ways he never dreamed.

I can't imagine anyone not loving this book. It was interesting through and through until the last and final page. This is one you can learn great lessons from even if your not old and gray. Why wait until the end is near to finish well. Begin today and the finish line will only be sweeter.

This book was a gift from Thomas Nelson for it's review.
