are you ready to hop on?

Remember hearing the story of the Little Engine That Could? I read this story over and over to my children when they were little. This story was one that gave hope. It showed them that no matter how little, everything is possible. All it takes is a big dream, a passionate heart, and a will to follow Christ through all the twists and turns.
Too many times we are afraid to hop aboard. What is it that keeps us from getting on the train? Are we afraid of where it will go, what it will ask of us, or do we not yet trust the conductor?

Faith is always growing. Faith is always moving. As long as we stay on the right tracks and not switch off, we will be just where God wants us to be.

Its when we fully trust Him, the Conductor of the train, we begin to see all the wondrous things before us. Things before that we only took for granite. Things before that we seemed not to even notice. But being on this train ride, our eyes are opened to new sights and sounds.

See, this train will come to all different kinds of places we never even dreamed we could go. We will stop off in many different places for a while, but the train ride never ends until we reach our destination home. So, until we here that whistle blow us home, why not just enjoy the ride? Why not look out and see all He has for us?

When we trust Him, we too can trust where He is leading us. And of all the beautiful things He shows us here, there is so much more to see. So much, we could never even imagine.

Some of these stops might not be our favorite spots, but we must go through all these stops to get to where we are going. Some, we will want to stay for longer, but God knows just how long each stop must take and when we should be on our way.

The train is coming through your town, why don't you hop on? It will be a ride you will never forget. With this Conductor we have no worries, for there is no one we could trust more to get us home.

Sometimes the ride might be long and weary, as we go through the valleys, but the ride will also go to the mountain tops and wow, what a view we will have there. Where there is weeping there too is joy.

All we must do is trust Him. Place in our R.S.V.P for our ride, and once that is in order, well, the ride will be a journey that will forever be remembered. Don't you want to come ride along? I am on that on train, along with all my brothers and sisters in Christ, and there is no other place I would rather be. The only thing missing is you!
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him."
Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."
