Have you ever been out shopping and found a great dress and didn't have your size? Grrrr. I hate when that happens. I have been out shopping looking for that perfect pair of pants only to come home empty handed. Have you been there too?There are times when we can go to many different stores, and not find what we are looking for. We become more determined on our search to find what we are looking for.
Those great buys are hard to find. Those shoes in just the right color take time searching for the right store to carry them.
Have you ever been putting together a recipe and realized you didn't have just one thing you needed? You run out to the store and you find that they are out of it! You think, "Okay, can I replace it with something else?"
Something I have realized is wherever I am searching, whatever I am doing, God is always there! And the cool thing is that with Him, you will never run out of what He has to offer, He's already a perfict fit, and He is just what the recipe of life is calling for. So how can you go wrong?
You can't, but the thing is people spend their lifetime searching for just the right thing to make them happy, just the right piece to add in the mix of life, and they are searching in all the wrong places. There is nothing of material value that can add a day to your life or bring joy like Jesus can!
A day out shopping with your girlfriend can be a great day, filled with laughter and fun, but at the end of the day what you have in that bag is of no comparison to what God can add to your life.
He is everywhere! All we have to do is open our eyes, look around and we can find Him. We don't have to travel to the next city looking for that thing to bring a smile to our face, only to fade, and shrink. With Christ, He will never fade away, and as big as He is, He isn't going to ever shrink!
If your out shopping, stop for a moment and think of your next purchase. Is it really a need or a want? Is it really going to add to your joy or is it just happiness for a moment, only to get tossed later? You can't go wrong with God. His word has everything you are ever going to need. I used to be a shopper. I searched many places looking for something to fit just right. But I am here to share with you my friend, I have stopped searching. I found just what my life needed.
With God you don't have to worry about the color, He looks good on everyone. You don't have to worry about the cost, He already paid. All you have to do is accept the gift!
