Do you have a prayer?
As we go about our day, what is on your heart? I seem to be full of prayers that are waiting to be answered by Jesus. Have you placed a name upon His throne? Do you have an illness you are wanting to be healed from? Are you praying that God will give you a job? Are you praying for family, for friends, for your Pastor, the youth of your church? All we have to do is turn on the news and we can have our heart broken by scenes across our land, our world. There is hunger, murder, kidnappings, accidents that just appear out of no where, children losing their parents, and parents losing their children to wars. Have you lost someone and you are grieving beyond measure? Are you holding on to hurt that needs to be let go of? Are you going through a divorce? Are you just angry at all around you? Are you missing someone close to you that is no longer in your life as you wish? Is your child hurting, and you don't know how to help? Are you confused about what path you should take? Are you feeling all alone and think you have no where to go? Do you have family who you want to see in heaven with you but they haven't taken that step of faith? Are you starting school in a new place? Are you starting a new business and your fearful of failure? We all have so much on our hearts, we have spent years praying for those names, those circumstances, those things that are tearing us apart inside. No one wants to feel pain, fear, hurt, confusion. We cannot just go through the motions of prayer, we have to believe! We have to lay those prayers and burdens we are facing right at the feet of Jesus and believe and know His loving hands are going to touch us, to bring healing, to bring glory to His name. We don't want to sit by, and one day say,"Did I do all I could have done?" We can pray, that is the first thing we should be doing for each name, for each thought, for each burden. God knows our hearts, our thoughts, and He so desperately wants to have a relationship with us. He wants to reach out to us, but we have to be willing to give Him all. Not just by mouth, or by deed, but by both. We must do as we say and say as we do. If we believe in Christ, then stand up today and claim it! If we trust in God, stand up today and trust Him with all you have. We don't have to face a battle alone, we don't have to face a decision alone, we never have to face anything alone. Let us stand up today and speak louder than we ever have before. Let us be who Christ has made us to be. Let us live out what we believe. Let us show others in our paths today who Christ is through us. When we pass that woman at Walmart and you feel the Holy Spirit reaching out to you, don't ignore Him, reach out to her, it may be the last chance you get to touch that person. If we want to be used of God we must believe in His words, His hope, and His trust. We must act on what He places before us. For us to grow as christians we must go through trials, we must adversities, but as we face them, we can do it knowing Christ has gone through those same trials, those same pains, and His heart breaks for us, but He knows what each word will do, who each deed will touch, and the impact our lives will make on those around us. It is like a afgan He is weaving, each strand touches another, they are interlocked together, and as a whole, each piece matters just as the one before. For all the saints who have come before us, all those who will come after us, we have a place, that place is with God, here on earth, and after we pass through this life onto a greater life with Him. Your prayers are heard, your answers are coming, they are coming in His time, and in His way. They may not be how we would have anwered them, but He sees the big picture, and knows just what each moment in time will impact on all who live before Him. He hears us, He loves us, and with Him you can make it through the night. His love covers all, His touch is there for all who will believe. All good should be praised, for it is from Christ, just as those trials we face should be praised. We may not be able to understand it at the time, we may be tired, we may be weary and weak not sure we can make it through, but we can, knowing God is there. There is a time here for all that touches us, and we must remember nothing touches us without first going through Christ. He isn't leaving us, He will not forsake us, He is with us always. Live each day with prayer in your heart, and coming from your lips. He will give us strength and all we need to face each moment in our lives. We never know what we will face in the next minute of life, but God knows, and He is watching and waiting to touch us, to hold us, and to lift us up, and through all He and only He can gain glory. He is the King of Kings, what do we ever have to fear? Nothing, He is our everlasting God, He defends us, He comforts us, and He lifts us up. We are His children, and we were bought with the price of His blood. He has proven there is nothing He will not do for us. Leave your prayers with Him, leave your burdens and hurts at His feet, and sing praises to His name for all He has done, is doing, and will do in our lives."In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory." Ephesians 1:13-14 "I have been crucified with Christ; it it no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Galations 2:20 "Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?" 2 Corinthians 13:5a "And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
