As you wake this morning what are you facing? What did you face yesterday? It is so awesome to know that we have a brand new day to begin again. Whatever I did yesterday is in the past and I can move forward today with a renewed mind, body and spirit. Did you make any mistakes yesterday? Don't keep them with you, don't hang on to them. Forgive yourself, and find a new hope in today. Whatever you struggled with yesterday, you can be strengthened today by God. We have opened our eyes to a new day with a new purpose. Be ready to make changes today, be ready to accept all God has for you. Don't let those temptations get you down. Let the sun shine, God has great plans for you for today, don't let the enemy take those away. At times we think our mistakes define us, we can get lost in them, but thats not true. Its what we learn through those mistakes that help define who we are, and set us on the path that God has us. Yesterday did you speak wrong to someone, did you step out of bounds of your faith, did you have thoughts that took over your day? Satan can trick us into many steps that lead us away from Christ. We have been set free by a loving God, and we are not bound to yesterday, but to a new morning with a new beginning. Whatever has touched you yesterday you can ask forgiveness, ask for strength to overcome and God will set you free to live today. We don't have to figure everything out today, God will lead us in that, and He will show us the way in which to walk a straight path with Him. Have you ever been driving and you have missed your exit? Do you keep going down that road, or do you find the turn around and go back in the direction that has been set before you? We are blessed to have those turn arounds. We can put our brakes on and make a u-turn at any point. Its never too late to turn around and head in the right direction. God has set before us a path He has made just for us. At times we try to find our own way and we can get lost along the way, but He is our compass to home. He is our compass that will never lead us in the wrong direction. Praise God we have a God who loves us inspite of our faults and failures. He has an uncondisional love for us. Whatever happened yesterday is gone, look forward today and make that u-turn. Get out that map, your bible, and let the words lead you and speak to your heart. We don't have to live in yesterday, we can have a fresh start today. So where are you? Are you still trying to change the past? Are you still stuck on the words you spoke yesterday? As Christ forgives us, forgive yourself and let go of the shame. What happened yesterday has disappeared by the grace of God. Like an etch-a-sketch, shake off what was drawn yesterday, and begin again. Get up today with a fresh start, a new beginning to all God has for you. "For a thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it is past, and like a watch in the night." Psalm 90:4 To us a thousand years seems like a long time, but to God it doesn't compare to His eternal love and power. Yesterday but was a blink in time and we face today with an outlook that is fresh and renewed. Face today with the courage and strength God gives and live each moment as it were your last. "Not that I have already, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Philippians 3:12-14 Leave yesterday where it is, and move forward today with Christ at your side making a new start.
