A Sweet Day In Prayer

Have you ever heard someone say,"Tell me why your hurting or tell me the circumstances surrounding your situation so I will know how to pray"? I believe this is just a nice way of gossip. I love the saying,"We aren't gossiping ,we are just sharing!" Oh girl please,we know that it is gossip and I too have been on the receiving end of that line,I may have even said it. We tend to want to know the whole story, don't we? We think if we have all the info we can pray better. That is just simply not true. We don't need to know anything to pray.Listen to what Romans8:26-28 "Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with grownings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the wiil of God.And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Christ intercedes on our behalf. He already knows the whole story. He doesn't need us to fill Him in. He just needs us to lift them up to Him and pray as He calls us to pray. As His children,we don't always know what to pray for or how to pray, but God gives us all we need to know through prayer and all things will work together for the good of His will. He has a purpose to all, and we don't always know that purpose, but we do know His will to pray for others and bring them to the thrown. That should make us feel so wonderful knowing that we don't have to know the whole story,it not our concern. But knowing we can go straight to God, and He will intercede for us is wonderful. The next time someone wants to fill you in on the scoop, or we think we need to know the whole story before we can pray,we can turn to this verse, inplant it in our hearts and know with all our hearts that God is in control of all the information around us. We can have a sweet day in prayer, with just us and Christ.Laying all those prayers at His feet and lifting others up is a day I believe He enjoys also.
