Words by Ginny Yttrup

This is my first read from Ginny L. Yttrup. As a writer there are many who I admire. Ginny is now one of those people I would be honored in which to share an afternoon coffee. This is one of the most powerfully beautiful novels to ever grace my reading experience. This is one of those novels that leaves behind a legacy as hearts are changed forever and new beginnings arise.

The writing of this novel is writing at it's best. I love when a writer takes from their own life experiences and pens a story to not only touch the hearts of others, but to bring the ability to change lives. As I opened this novel and began turning pages I was caught off guard. I know the cover attacked me and the title, "Words", stirred me, but this novel is so much more than what I expected. This novel goes deep into the wounds of body and soul.

We fall in love with a child we have never met, but only want to pull her into our arms and love her forever. Many know her from their own past of abuse. This novel brings the reader to an intimate place into a transparency of a life that is hard for us to imagine even exists. For this little one it is real and Ginny brings her to life on these pages of black and white. We are invited into a world of a little girl that will touch your heart and bring you to a place of wanting to protect and bring change. We will be moved as we witness how God brings healing and transformation.

This novel is filled with such beauty. Characters that one dreams of becoming. We see the heart transform from ash to beauty. I wiped my cheeks clean of tears as I walked this journey with Kaylee Wren and Sierra Dawn. Although they are the main characters the other characters that are woven in this novel are tender yet powerful in their lives.

This is a story of grace. Redemption after the rain. Hope when all seems gone forever. We see God move in a mighty way with His perfect timing. Oh, the connection between these characters in enchanting as we see the power of God flow through them and bring a life they never knew existed.

I cannot wait to read more from this writer. This novel was published back in 2011. I love finding new writers who pen such accomplished and powerful words for readers like me to grow and blossom as we travel with them on their journey to sharing what they love most.

This novel was a gift from B&H Publishing Group for sharing my review with you.
