MAKING WAVES by LORNA SEILSTAD

"Making Waves" takes us back to the summer of 1895, to Lake Manawa, where the families of prestige are spending their summers. "Making Waves" is the perfect name for this delightful book. It seems that Marguerite Westing was made to make waves. She is full of life and wants to enjoy each moment given to her. She has been promised to Roger Gordon, a boring man with sights of his own and they are not just Marguerite, but the family money. Although this is what her family wants, it is not want Marguerite needs. She does not love this man and he is not what he seems. During their summer here at the lake, Marguerite meets Trip Andrews, a sailing instructor, that is stealing her heart away with each wave. We see love blossom and secrets revealed. As this summer is coming to an end, love is only beginning. This is one of those afternoon reads that will allow you to escape into another time and place filled with a sweet aroma of love. Marguerite has this way of bringing life to any situation. She is one of those spunky girls you want around just to remind you to smile and enjoy life.
This is the first book in Lake Manawa Summers Series. I cannot wait for the second. I enjoyed this book. This is the first book by Lorna Seilstad. She is a talented writer that knows how much detail to give and just where the reader wants to go. This book just flowed. If you love romance, this book is one for your collection.

This book was a gift from Revell for it's review.
