What a gift to hold in my hands is this amazing book by Dale Hanson Bourke. Too often when we hit middle age we find ourselves wondering what is our purpose, and that is where I find myself today, so this book could not have come at a better time. This book embraces women, it embraces change, and shows us how special and unique we all are, and just how God has that purpose for us, that calling. If we are in tune with Him we will understand the woman He is seeking for us to become.
When we find ourselves aging, alone, or when changes come we often find ourselves in a pickle, unsure of what to do next. But here comes this amazing book to help guide us, one that answers questions we are seeking. When we learn to embrace our calling we will learn just who we are meant to be, and just how Jesus is going to get us there. We are a work in progress, and this book gives us permission to be us, to be a woman of God in a world where getting older is not perceived as a gift, but a headstone. We are beautiful women at whatever age we are, and when we can find new meaning to life again. We can find that second calling.
This book would be an awesome book for just one, but also a blessing for a study together.
This book was a gift from Thomas Nelson for its review.
