Who is your best friend?

Many of us have sang,"What a friend we have in Jesus" in church, but just how many of us believe that and cling to it? Are we living what we are singing in those words? Think of you very best friend. Who is it? On this earth my best friend is my husband. I have close friends that I would trust my life with, but no one compares to Jesus being my best friend. He is always there, never forgetting me, never too busy with life, and never distracted from the world and all that is calling our name. When it comes to your list of friends, Jesus is at the top, there is no one to even come close. He will not leave us or forsake us. He will not turn His back on us when we are in need. He doesn't turn the phone off, He doesn't make a date over the one you had with a friend. He is honest with us, He lifts us up with His love and glory. I would rather hear His sweet voice than any other I know. I would rather take His hand than another only to let go. Where He goes, I go, and where I to He goes with me. I am never alone. There is no darkness that can overcome me, for He is there shining as a light in my fear, only to bring me peace and comfort. There are limitations to friendships and just what they are willing to give for you, but with Christ there is no limit. He made the highest limit possible in giving His life for us that we may live in Him. He gives us all, and in turn we too should be willing to give our all for Him. I had a dream the other night. I hadn't told my husband or son. There are just somethings you think upon, even in our dreams. I had a dream my son and I were in a local gas station, when a man pulls out a gun, he aims for my son, only for me to jump in the way of the oncoming bullet. I can say without a doubt I would die for each and everyone of my children today or any other day. I would give my life for them to live. That is what Jesus did for ALL His children. He stepped in front of that bullet, and took it for us to live. So for all He has done, He should be at the top of your friend list, and no one should come before Him. If your looking for a friend today. Look no farther than Jesus. He is there for you, waiting to reach out to you, and love you like no other is possible. He is my best friend, and I am so blessed to have Him. To feel His arms around me, to hear His voice, to know He is right here with me, with His healing hands, and His teaching words to show me the way home. Take His hand today and let Him be your friend for life. " A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." Proverbs 18:24
