We all receive many kinds of notices in our mail, but what kind do you open and which ones do you through away? We all receive junk mail, those are the ones we usually just skip in the trash and ignore. I have gone to the post office and opened our box, only to pull out masses of envelopes, thinking I am throwing away trash, I have at times thrown away things of importance that I should have taken a greater look at. We never want to receive an eviction notice, letting us know we only have so many days until our time is up, and we must move on. Only God knows when our eviction notice comes to our address to let us know our time is up here on this earth, only to be taken to a home greater than we know here. But what about those who receive eviction notices that must leave, but are not going to the home God has prepared for them, only to go to a home that we have chosen by turning away from our Savior? What if with each notice of eviction came also notices of conviction to those who travel your path? What if with each eviction notice that comes to one, hundreds of conviction notices are sent out weeks ahead of time? Have you been there? Just as you are living your day a conviction comes to speak to the one standing next to you, do you answer or do you ignore that conviction notice? I cannot tell you how many times I have been convicted to speak to someone, to call someone, to send out a hello to one around me, only to get caught up in all around me and to forget, to throw it in the trash just as if it were trash mail, unimportant to me. Those conviction notices are important to those around us needing to hear, needing to feel the love, needing to be reached before their eviction notice comes in the mail. We receive mail daily, we all love to receive a package in the mail. Well, what if in our mail, each time we received a conviction notice and took it top priority, we then received a little notice from heaven saying just how much we impacted the glory of heaven for the one we decided to reach out to that was being evicted? What if each time we reached out to someone, we received a little box, rapped with a little bow, only to be untied by Christ when we opened our hearts to another and shared His glorious name? Would you begin to open all your mail then, not letting one piece of mail drop through your fingers until you read each one with top priority, knowing that with that conviction notice, it is coming straight from the hand of God, into your hands to be read and delivered on time before the eviction notice of another was up? I read an email today from a friend, it stated that "Fear not" is written 365 times in the bible. That amazed me, to know that is not by accident, but by the hand of God to let us know we have nothing to fear about reaching out to those around us, about answering those conviction notices, and reaching out to those who are being evicted. When we feel in our heart so deeply to speak to another, we should not allow nothing to hold us back, for that may be the last time words are ever spoken to that one soul, and with our words, printed on our hearts from God, they can make the difference of just where that one soul will go with their eviction notice. It may be a place filled with beauty and grace or it could be a place filled with darkness and void of Jesus Christ. How we open our mail, just doesn't effect us, but those around us, those we meet each day, maybe for the first time, or maybe for the last time. So what will you do today with the conviction notices you receive? Will you answer the call, or will you let it slip through your fingers? If it were you getting that eviction notice wouldn't you want someone to open the envelope with love and no fear? These words have changed my heart, and for me, I pray I open each piece of mail, and give those convictions a second look, give them top priority and a rush on the delivery. There are no accidents in this world, nothing by chance, but all by the hand of of mighty God who wants to reach the world for His glory. He wants to reach each corner of the world, and may we be willing to serve Him by answering the call. "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen" Matthew 28:18-20 Thank you to my Pastor, my brother, my friend for giving me words to share with all, to touch others and to lead us to answer all the conviction notices we receive to make an impact on the world around us~
