just a little change..
As I was getting my hair done and getting myself a new look, I began to think we can all use a little change. For us to look like Christ we have to be in constant change. We can never just stay the same, if we are we aren't moving forward with Christ. It is scary to make changes in our lives, but when we stay the same we grow stagnant just as water does in a pond with no outlet. Remember our high school year books when we had friends sign them? Do you remember just how many people put,"Never change, always stay the same!" What if that happened? It would be a horrible shame to never grow into the person Christ is constantly trying to mold us into. When we get use to things being the same, we get bored at times and begin to lose focus. We should always be moving forward, not going backward or staying the same. Just as you hear people say,"Men look more distinguished as they grow older", christians look more like Christ as we grow older with Him. If we are the same as we were the first day we became christians we aren't allowing Christ to live in us. If He is really living in us, we are going to be showing change in our lives. We here in Missouri enjoy all four seasons. It is a blessing to go through each one. A season of change lifts us up, it deepens our relationship with Christ. All change is not good. There are extremes to everything and change is one of them. We don't want to change who we are, we just need to make adjustments here and there. Adding somethings and letting go of others. We should always be checking ourselves to see where we are in Christ. Can we see the changes He has made in our lives? Are others able to see that we are growing and our relationship with Christ is reflecting off our actions and our attitudes? One thing we can always remember is while we are changing to look more like Christ, Christ never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He is perfect and without blemish. "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 God is continually creating in us changes in order for us to grow. Some change is easy, we can see those for ourselves, but some change is hard. It is the trials in life that help to transform us into those who Christ is seeking for us to become. Do you need a change today? Begin to make the changes you see and open your heart to allow Christ to make the changes He sees...
