How are you making your wedding gown?

I want you to picture the most beautiful wedding you have ever attended, and understand this wedding will be the most glorious presentation of love ever declared to another. The first thing that happened was you were sent an invitation. On your invitation you have the option to send in your R.S.V.P. So that first question would be, "Have you sent in your R.S.V.P?" Once we have done that important step now we can get down to details of the wedding. What a glorious day that will be. The Son will be shining for sure. In our planning we begin to think about our quests. Remember we want everyone to attend, so we are going to have to go and start sharing with others about this great day coming soon. We don't exactly know the date, but we can tell them to be ready at a moments notice. Now we get to plan our wedding gown. The bride is always so beautiful as she is walking down the aisle. The main difference at this wedding is, she is not the one who everyone has their eyes on, they have their eyes on the Bridegroom. Can you picture this wedding? Can you see the luminating bride walking down the aisle to meet the groom, to see Him face to face? They had tradition long ago, as the bride wore her mother's gown that her mother wore also. It was hand stitched, with each thread prayed over. Each piece was special in its own way. As this gown was passed down it carried with it much meaning to the young bride. This brings me to our wedding gown to be worn to meet our bridegroom. It is made of fine linen. Long ago the wedding gown was pure white, it stood for purity as the bride dressed for her groom. Our wedding gown made from fine linen, is made from our righteous acts, the good works we have allowed Christ to do through us. It is a symbol of faithful obiedience to our Lord. Each stitch of our gown is made from the love and faithfulness we have in our Savior. Each stitch is thread to another, bringing all the pieces together. It is like a work of art made by our Redeemer, bringing alive all the acts of faithfulness that we have shared by His blood on the cross. Can you see the doors open? Can you see the bride standing there waiting to go down to meet her groom? At weddings today we hear the wedding march. On this grand day can you imagine the music, the sounds we will hear, the voices singing? Are you ready for the wedding feast? Are you ready to stand before our God? How are the stitches of your wedding gown coming together? As I think of my own gown, I have some sewing, some stitching to still do. My gown is not ready yet. I don't want my gown to be stained, I want my gown to shine before the Lord as He waits for me. A wedding is such a beautiful day. I don't want to miss it, and I want all to be there that glorious day to share together all the festivites that will take place. There is enough room for all to attend, we just have to be ready, be prepared and be working on our gown. Is that day important to you? I know it is important to our Bridegroom. It is also a day He has longed for, just as we have. By our faith we will send in our R.S.V.P and we will be preparing our gown of faith. Think upon the kind of gown you want to wear to the wedding. Can you see it in your mind? Can you sew it together with the faith you have now? Our gown is hand stitched by our faithful acts we have shown to others through the will of our Lord Jesus Christ. "Then a voice came from the throne, saying, Praise our God, all you His servants and those who fear Him, both small and great! And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thundering, saying, Allelulia! For the Lord god Ominipotent reigns! Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, His wife has made herself ready. and to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright for the fine linen is hte righteous acts of the saints." Revelation 19:5-8 We have many big days with the Lord, we have the day we heard His voice and we were saved, the day inwhich we were baptised by the Holy Spirit, and this day, our wedding day that we have been preparing for since we answered His call. What do you have to do to get ready? Have you sent out invitations to all who you meet? Have you been stitching your gown together with the love of Christ? It is a day to think upon daily, as we make ourselves ready to meet our Bridegroom. Can you close your eyes and see it happening? Make sure this will be the wedding of your life. Make sure you are ready, and waiting for Him to take your hand and be with Him forevermore.
