Is there a canyon seperating you?
My husband has always wanted to go for a vacation and see the Grand Canyon. He loves the beauty and the awesomeness of this great creation of God. The canyons are so deep and so wide. If you were on one side trying to get to the other, it cannot be done just by walking. You would need a bridge or someone to fill in the gap so you could cross and also see the beauty from the other side. We get in these predictions to where we can only see one side of the of a view, and until we can move and change our positition we will never be able to see the other side. Christ is our bridge builder, He will stand in the gap for us. He placed Himself in the positition that He saw from our side, while He was upon the cross and He knows that the view from His side is so much better. Just from standing in one position some things are obstructed from our view, we can't see clearly, but it is when we move, when we open our eyes fully, we begin to see. To see what is in front of us,we must first take our eyes off of ourselves. To make a trip across the Grand Canyon would take planning, and would take a guide. You wouldn't want to trek across that land by yourself, nor would you find your way clearly. You may be able to get there, but how much better would it be with a guide who sees and knows all and His planning? I have heard people say there vacations were so much greater with a guide to show them all the things they would not have seen on their own. As God stands on one side of the canyon, our sin seperates us from Him. That big canyon of sin. For us to gain access to Christ,we must let go of that sin,we must confess our sin, and accept Him as our Savior. Once we do that,He stands in the gap for us, for us to cross over to walk with Him. What a sweet walk our lives are then,to walk with our Savior that we are no longer seperated from. He loves us, and He is calling from the other side. Whats keeping you standing still and not moving to see all you can see through Jesus? Is there something keeping you on the side of that canyon, afraid to let go of the control in your life? We only think we have control of our lives. We never do, God has each life in His hands. If He created us, if He died for us, and if He is willing to stand in the gap for us,why not trust Him,why not give Him all,as He gave all for us?"As it is written: There is none righteous, no not one; There is none who understnads; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one."Romans 3:10-12 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God has passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus." Romans 3:23-26 "There is a way that seems right to man, but its end is the way of death."Proverbs 14:12 All these verses show us that we are indeed sinners in need of a Savior. In need of one to stand in the gap for us. Without the rest of the verses, we would be lost and never be able to cross over that big canyon alone, but God makes a way for us. "Jesus said to him,'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through Me." John 14:6 "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23 "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."Romans 5:8 Do you hear the last part of that verse? He died for "US", me and you. His love is so great He wants to stand in the gap for us. He took our punishment,He shed His blood to cover each pitiful sin we committ daily. If you want to see things you have never seen before, If you want to go places you have never been, allow Christ to be your gap, your bridge. Once we do that we see from a whole new view no matter where we are standing.....
