The illustrations are just amazing. Virginia Allyn has outdone herself on this adorable gem. The pages of this hardback are filled with such brilliant color that is sure to captivate little ones.
The sun is setting in the jungle and the lemurs are thanking God for their food. The jaguars are splashing one more time before bed. The toucan is getting ready to brush before it's time for pajamas. The chameleons are curling up for one more story. The monkey swings through the trees before mama grabs him up for the night. The mama parrot sings a lullaby. The tadpoles take a ride on daddy's back before they say goodnight. Of course there is a cute sloth all cuddled up with mama. The book ends with all the animals, all God's creatures, snuggled in for the night.
I love how God is woven within this nighttime story. A wonderful way to begin prayer for little ones. This is certainly a gem for children. The perfect end before dreams begin.
