This Study Bible is released in February 2015. I am so excited to be able to share this beautiful study Bible with you. Holman is the best of the best. I have yet to find a Bible that I loved more.
Let's talk about the outside first. This Bible is extraordinary! The colors are gorgeous. It is indexed which makes each Book of the Bible super easy to find. This is the saddle/brown LeatherTouch which is very sturdy and of course with a Holman Bible you have a lifetime guarantee. That's pretty amazing! The outer pages have a gold leaf trim which even adds to it's beauty.
This study Bible is in the NKJV translation. Next to the HCSB this translation is my favorite. Love studying from both of these translations.
The print is large and bold which I LOVE! Makes for easy reading. The pages are white. Each Book of the Bible has an awesome introduction. These introductions are so important to understanding the Word. They give us the information we need about the time period, who wrote the Book, the Message and purpose, and so much more. The maps and photos are in bright, full color. This is an aspect that I truly enjoy. The photos throughout the Bible give the reader an interesting glimpse into the time period and people we are studying about. The commentary and concordance are extraordinary. The concordance is probably the largest I've seen in a study Bible. There are many essays that are helpful tools to understanding the Word of God. Articles give an extra plus in diving into the Word even further. I really like the timelines. It's clear and precise. Giving the reader every possible tool they need for understanding God's Word.
What I love about the Holman NKJV is that the Words of Jesus are highlighted in red. The only thing that I can see different from the NKJV Study Bible and the HCSB is that the NKJV doesn't have the Greek/Hebrew word study. With this Bible the pages, although they are sturdy, sometimes can stick together. But sitting down with a bit of patience it's easy to get them apart and once you do so you never have to worry about them sticking again.
