This is the 20th Anniversary edition of Redeeming Love. I read this novel over fifteen years ago. To date it is my all time favorite novel. I chose it for review and I can tell you it was even more powerful the second time around. This novel is life changing. Francine Rivers is my hero. She brings us a story that if life changing. One that is not only enjoyable, but one that touches the heart and brings change. If I had to describe this novel in one word it would be, grace.
Francine Rivers brings the Book of Hosea to us through the lives of Micheal and Angel during the time of 1850. Their story is one of love redeemed. Grace is penned on each page. The story flows the love of the Father. Of all the books I've been blessed to read this is by far the one that has impacted my life the most. If you have read it years ago as I did, I encourage you to pick it up again. If your a first time reader of Francine Rivers you are going to enjoy this like no other work of fiction. This is one you will pass down for generations to come.
I encourage you to watch the video and check out the links. Check out Francine's link I have shared in her bio. I don't want to share too much of the story. I don't want to give away anything of this beautiful and poignant read. There is a great reader's guide in the back. Wow, what a great choice this would be for a book club. We also get to hear from Francine Rivers. She answers the question as to why she wrote this classic novel. Really friends, if you haven't read a book in a long time this is the book that will bring you back to enjoying reading again.
