Have you ever found yourself being really irritated by another person, not really understanding why, but in that first meeting you really just don't like them? Yes, me too. This is at the center of this book. Two ladies. One strong willed and ready to shout glory everywhere she goes and another, a new Christian, a little quiet and reserved. God has great things in store for these women and those who surround them. Watch out, just when you think that person irritates you, well, she just might be the girl God has in store to walk the journey with you.
I loved the story line. The characters were so real. You got to see the good, the bad and the ugly. Neta Jackson writes about real people and real issues. Although you could read this book alone since it is the first book in this new series, it would be a blessing for you to read the Yada Yada Prayer Group Series along with the Yada Yada House Of Hope Series.
This is defiantly a book of faith. A book filled with faith, hope and love. We see redemption, forgiveness and love blossom in the hearts of those who live for the Lord. Kat is new to faith and trying to stand on her own is not easy when she has a family who doesn't stand with her. Avis is that woman we all want in our lives. That woman who is there to lead us and keep us in line when we stray. What I really loved seeing was the growth of the characters. Whether they had been Christians a long time or a short while we got to see a glimpse of their growth through the circumstances in their lives that brought them closer to the Lord.
We see the mother-daughter relationship, along with its ups and downs and we get to witness friendship take root and blossom. I really enjoyed reading this book. One thing I took away from this book was the importance of remembering God's perfect timing and how I must remain still and listen for His call.
This book was a gift from Thomas Nelson for it's review.
