First let me just say that Tricia Goyer ROCKS!! Each and every book have picked up that she has penned as been brilliant. This is the first time for me to read a work created by Mike Yorkey, but if this is any indication of his other works, they must be amazing.
I loved this book. I love the setting and the time period. The time they put in for research only made this book stand out even more! You gotta love the good guys who spend their days chasing the bad guys.
This story begins around the year of 1944 and war is all around. Germany is attacking and as France is on the brink of liberation they too are trying to protect their precious works of art. Yes, the search is on for stolen art, but this book is so much more! It's intrigue and suspense with romance thrown in to even add more to the package. The story goes quite deep and is one I found filled with suspense.
We have characters that are American, German, French and Swiss all gathered into one spectacular novel. This is a fast paced read with non-stop action. I loved Gabi and Eric. They are heroins and two characters going the distance for a greater cause. What grabs me is the fact they are doing so without fear!
This book was a gift from Revell for it's review. It will be ready for you to grab up on Jan. 12
