His life had taken many downfalls and I love how he is so transparent. This is his first book and I believe his story is going to touch the heart of many who are searching deeply for a way out of darkness. He didn't just take a wrong turn, he downright searched for Satan. Called out to him and invited him into his life. But, don't you love when you see those but's? God had another plan for Mr. Michael Leehan. God never left him. Michael may have fell to the depths of darkness, but God was always there, calling him and leading him to safe passage.
This is Michael's true account, his testimony, of rising from the pit of darkness and a life of worshipping Satan. He doesn't leave anything out, he shares it all and that is what I love. I love it when people are so transparent all you can see is Christ moving through them and this is exactly what happens through this book.
Ascent From Darkness was a poignant read. Taking the reader into the depths of despair that Michael himself felt. There is so much more, too. He shares those people who reached out to him. He shares how in God's perfect timing He was always placing a Christian in Michael's pathway. There were many who were not giving up on Michael and the Lord was One of them.
