what if you could hear the truth

What if everyone just told the truth, spoke from their hearts to others and realized the words we use and no not use afffect all those around us? We would be closer, we would open up, and we would share without the fear of getting hurt. Lies kill relationships, they kill our spirit, and they break bonds between those we love, it tears friendships apart and makes you wonder who are your friends, who can you trust, and who really is being real. If we could just all be ourselves and love those around us no matter what others thought, what a better place we would live. If we could just open up and say whats on our hearts instead of keeping it all in, we could grow in our love for one another, instead of keeping anger and fear in our reach. What if we could stand with honor showing others who we loved, instead of being fearful of what others would say? Today its hard to know who to believe, what to believe in, and who is really by your side. There are those days we give and give, we try so hard to make a difference, and it seems as though we take two steps forward and three steps back. You wish your relationships could be what they were meant to be, you wish others would answer your calls, your texts, your plea to begin again, but they never seem to come. Just what if that was the last time you heard call me, text me, come out, just what if you never got the chance because you were not ready to stand and say I love you so others knew the truth. Why are we so afraid to open up, to let go, and to be free to who God made us to be? Have you been there too? Have you tried to reach someone and you get no response from your efforts to move forward? Sometimes life seems so unfair, it seems that no matter what we are striving for, no matter how many times a day we are praying, it just isn't coming. It breaks hearts to hear no, to hear next time, or to not hear anything, until one day, its too late, its too late to try anymore, because time has passed, it has moved on without us, then what? We live by the what if's, and if only's of our lives. I have been there in that place, when my father died, I lived in those I wish, I should have would have's. It is a lonely place to be, it is a place where time is your enemy, and all you want to do is move back and have a do over, but in our lives we don't often get do overs, but when we do, we should jump on those chances to make a fresh start, a new beginning. Time and love are to be cherished, they are to be spent with sharing, with being truthful, and not only honest with the other person, but with ourselves. Being honest can hurt, but never hurts as bad as a lie. As a lie destroys all that is good, honesty brings peace and healing. Which side of that are you on today? Either side is hurtful, but if we can come together, open our hearts, and pray, Christ can give us all we need. He can fill us with strength, with peace and with forgiveness. The truth really does set you free, and its that freedom that shows love. God never told us it was going to easy here, easy to love, easy to be honest, but those are qualities, those are characteristics that allow the Lord to shine through us. Nothing good comes from a lie, good comes from telling the truth and being honest with yourself, and being strong enough to be honest to those around you. Today if you are hurting from the lies told or hurting from the lies you have told, turn to Jesus and allow Him to set you free. Go to those who need to hear from you, open your heart, let the tears fall, and let them bring healing to your family, to your friendships and to those around you. Today is a new day, a new beginning, may we start it with the truth... Psalm 56:4 "In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust, I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?" 1 John 1:6 "If we claim to have fellowship with Him yet walk in the darkness, we lie adn do not live by the truth." Proverbs 12:22 " The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in men who are truthful."
