The definition of genuine is: 1) actually having the reputed or apparent qualities or character 2) actually produced by or proceeding from the alleged source or author 3) sincerely and honestly felt or experienced 4) actual, true 5) free from hypocrisy or pretense.... Are you genuine with others? First before we are genuine with others we must be genuine with ourselves. A blessed friend is one who is gift-wrapped in genuine love. One who is happy for you and takes gladness in sharing your happiness and the blessings you are receiving. One who shares in your life at all seasons, the good, the bad, the changes, the trials, and the tests of friendship never fail. Your relationship is based on your shared love of Christ and He is a part of all you do. You are a loving person to all you meet. That is not saying fake. There is a difference and people know when you are genuine or when you are fake. People know if you are being a friend out of love, or a friend to gain for yourself. A friend is true to who she is and doesn't change the love she has for you just because you are moving along at different paths in time. It is not a blessing to have a fair weather friend, it is a sorrow in your heart. A genuine friend is an all weather girl, who can bring the umbrella if its raining, or she can bring the sunblock when its sunny. Friendships change as you grow older, the sweet things seem more sweet and with wisdom you are able to tell a fake from the genuine deal. Friendship that is genuine is a true, honest and loving girl who will celebrate with you, who will cheer you on, and make you feel as though you have a special bond. You have a shared sisterhood together. A friend would lay down their life for you. A friend would stand up for you til the end of time. A friend lifts you up, lifts you up with prayer and genuine love. Genuine friendships are hard to come by, they are like finding a needle in a haystack, but when you find one, you know you have found a real gem, a dimond that will last forever. Do you know someone who is genuine? Are you genuine to who you are, or are you always changing to meet face with those who are around you?
