Is something blocking your view?
The more we learn, the more we grow in Christ. Therefore, the more we grow in Christ the more we learn and the more we yearn for Him and heaven. He has given us His word, He has placed before us our compass to lead us forward and heavenward. We have His creation before us to learn from, to praise, and to enjoy. We have history, science and even math to lead us straight to God. There is nothing here on earth that doesn't lead us to Him. For us to stay focused, we must read His word, study on our own with tools we have purchased. We must think upon what we put into our minds. If I am on focus, if I am in His word, if I am listening to music that glorifies Him my attitude is so different. I can feel Him with me, I can understand more, and I can see through the eyes He meant for me to see through. When I am away from Him and His word, I begin to see through tanted eyes, and the temptations start to flow in, and sooner than later I give in to them. Why are we not moving toward Christ? Why are we not learning more each and every new day? Because of our selfisheness and our laziness. When we are into our own needs and looking at our needs first we tend to forget all those around us. We stop reaching out to others when we are selfish and lazy. When we are couch potatoes we turn on the television and we are letting in the world, we begin to relax into the world's ideas. We can turn on a comedy show and watch, letting a few things go just to see a funny part coming up. We begin to be lax in the world's view. We tend to let things slip by us when we are not focused. When we sit around and say we are bored, that is not honoring God. In His creation and wonder what is there to be bored about? We can always turn to His word, the greatest book ever written, and nothing will ever compare. We can find everything we need in the bible. The stories are unending, they are lifting, and they are teaching. When we decide to put His book down, we decide to pick up the world. And the world begins to impact our decisions and our actions. What are we seeking daily? Is is self-gradification or is it to be holy before our God? Are we seeking to learn and grow in Him or are we seeking to gain in this world? The pages of the bible are not empty, they are full of God's gifts to us. They are in each page bringing Him to life right infront of our eyes. God gives life to His word, and through His word we find life. All we do here on earth is to prepare us for a greater place in heaven. The things we may miss out on here on earth, we will have in abundance in heaven. Those gifts that God has given us here, will only grow and intensify in heaven. God is our assurance, and His word is our insurance on our lives here. When we live for Him we are not living void. Everything matters, our actions, our choices, and our words. Our gifts and our trials are preparing us for a greater life in heaven. God's name is the sweetest voice we will ever hear. His word is the greatest we will ever put our eyes to. So what are we waiting for? Why are we not learning each day with each new breathe He gives. We never know if we will have thirty years left, ten, five, or today will be our last. Why are we waisting time with selfishness and laziness before us when we have a great and mighty God before us giving us all we need to follow Him? Whatever is blocking your view of Christ, get it out of the way and enjoy learning about Him. Whatever is taking up so much of your time, let it go and begin a new day searching God's word. Whatever we have lost from this point, we can gain a new, fresh experience before us. To learn and grow is to become mature with the Lord. We all learn on different levels, we are all in different places, but by studying His word, we are all going in the same direction, toward Him, and toward heaven. So what is holding you back? Put Christ first and make Him your focus of each moment, and we will find joy and peace in all we do. No matter what is happening we can find purpose in it, and know that all that we learn here, we will only learn much more that is awaiting us in heaven. So get that block out of your way, and get your vision set upon the one who lives before us... "Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Matthew 11:29 "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Psalm 119:105 "For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope." Romans 15:4
