God's witness protection program

When you think of the witness protection program what do you think about? Do you see a person who has witnessed, but is now being attacked for what they have seen or heard? They are now in fear. There are many who do not want them to spread the Word. They do not want others to find out the truth laid out before them. They are seeking refuge. A place of solice and protection. In God we can find that refuge and solice.

"Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; In You I take shelter. Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness." Psalm 143:9-10

As we witness we can allow fear to overcome us. Friends, there is no reason to fear the truth. There is no reason not to continue being witness' of God's glory. His salvation is for everyone. No one is without hope. We are His hands and feet to move about teaching and discipling others in His Word. As God gives us a calling He is going to equip us with all we need. He is going to step out before us and prepare the way. He is going to stand with us as we move on His behalf and He too will be behind us protecting us from all enemies who are trying to keep us from completing His will.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them." Ephesians 2:8-10

Our greatest enemy? Ourselves. Yes indeed. We are the ones who hold us back. It is our pride, our fear of rejection, our lack of trust and sometimes just plain selfishness with no time left over to do God's will. We are too busy trying to do our own. But, it isn't about us. We make it all about Him and He will place us in His witness protection program designed just for those He has chosen. Just for us, His children.

In seeing His mighty works and witnessing His grace daily we should be more than willing to step out into the open reaching out to others and praying for those we meet. Just planting seeds and being a willing vessel for God will not just touch the hearts of others, but will increase our faith as we see Him work through our life and in the lives of those around us.

"There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills." 1 Corinthians 12:4-11

Do we really think a God who can create this world with just speaking would give His children gifts with no way to use them? He has already given us all we need. We just need to believe and trust in Him. We too just need to allow the Holy Spirit to move through us. I have a hard time with looking back and seeing how many opportunities I allowed to pass just because of my fear of witnessing. Friends, we just need to get over ourselves and get there and be about God!!

How many times do we go to a baseball game and cheer like crazy people, but we can't raise our hand in praise at church? We go out into freezing temps to watch a football game when we can't even make it to church if it is raining. We can do all kinds of things to bring attention to ourselves when we want. The want has to be there to follow God and do His will.

So many times we just have to be transparent. We must be real. We can't just walk around with a smile when things are falling apart. We must allow others to see our weakness, so they too can see God's strength. God will not open a door without walking through it with us. Every no is a yes to something He is calling us to. We just have to get out of the way and allow Him to take the lead. We need to walk a fearless road. Fearless in not allowing this world to take away our will to walk with God. Fearless in not allowing the enemy to encamp in our heart. Fearless in walking the road God has paved for us knowing He is already where He is calling us to be. There is no fear in faith. In faith we let go of ourselves and trust the One who has us under His protective hand.

"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2:20

The only difference in God's witness protection program is that He wants us out in the open. He wants us reaching others. He wants us to speak the truth and open our heart and home to those around us. He wants others to see Him through us. We will never take one single step without His presence going before us. He knows what is up ahead and He will move on our behalf to make way for all of Heaven's glory to be revealed through His Son, Jesus Christ. The enemy has nothing on us with a God of protection standing before us!! Fear not friends. Step out in faith and do His will and work!!
